Position Summary
di Stefano Landscaping is currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic, and multi-tasking Production Support / Class A CDL Truck Driver. This vital position is responsible for managing the transport and delivery of landscaping equipment and materials to job sites. We are seeking a dependable driver who possesses significant physical and mental stamina to consistently ensure safe, accurate, and on-schedule deliveries. The ideal candidate must be detail-oriented, efficient, and maintain a clean driving record.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Use your technical knowledge and skills with vehicles and equipment to minimize equipment downtime. This includes:
- Work 40+ hours/week, including occasional early mornings and late evenings
- Assist with fleet and equipment maintenance duties when not making deliveries
- Fully understand how to safely operate all combinations of vehicles and equipment
- Transport and deliver equipment and materials to a variety of jobsites
- Pick up loads and organize materials in an ordered, logical manner
- Safely and efficiently handle and unload equipment and materials at their destination
- Obtain and sign invoices and manifests for inspected pickups and deliveries
- Maintain clear communication with management and field crews
- Perform thorough pre and post trip inspections
- Notify managers of any major maintenance or delivery issues encountered
- Accurately track and report working hours
- Adhere to all company rules and regulations
- Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to weather and road conditions
- Comply with all ICC and DOT regulations
- Make safety a priority at all times
Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Skilled at driving large vehicles
- Alert, focused, and detail oriented
- Physically and mentally fit
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Able to operate heavy equipment (skid steer, loaders, mini and large excavators)
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
